Appointment effective immediately at Northern League Division One club
Marske United Football Club, who compete in the Northern League Division One, has today announced the appointment of Chris Varney as Chairman, effective immediately.

A football fan first and foremost, Chris joined the club as a Director approximately 18 months ago and has been actively involved in supporting the club’s progress both on and off the pitch. He brings experience from running a local business, alongside a strong network of regional contacts, which he will use to help the club build on the relationships already in place and continue moving forward.

Chris also has a young family and is known locally for his charitable support and passion for the community projects he takes on.

Chris said: “I’m honoured to be appointed Chairman of Marske United Football Club. Over the last 18 months as a Director I’ve seen first-hand the commitment around the club, and I’m looking forward to working with the board, staff, players, volunteers and supporters to build on what’s already here and help drive the club forward.”
