‘We can confirm today that we have taken the difficult decision to end Nick Ward’s role as Marske United’s manager, along with the coaching team of Lee Guess and Nathan Massingham.

With Marske United sitting in 17th place in Northern League 1 the club have reluctantly made the decision that it is the right time to make a change.

Performances and overall results have been disappointing this season and the change, not taken lightly, we believe will give the club the best opportunity to finish the season as high in the league as possible.

We’d like to place on record our sincere thanks to Nick, Lee and Nathan for their efforts and contribution to the club and wish them well for the future.

Paul Burton will now assume the manager’s role for the remainder of the season, supported by, Eric ‘Cappy’ Warburton, and Mark Riley.

A further announcement will be made towards the end of the season regarding the permanent position of 1st team manager.
