In Loving Memory of Brian Rigby
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brian Rigby, a cornerstone of the Marske United community and a man whose generosity left an indelible mark on the club he loved.
A lifelong supporter and dedicated season ticket holder, Brian was far more than a face in the crowd at The John Keegan stadium. He was a true friend to the club, known for his warmth, popularity, and unwavering commitment to the "Seasiders."
Brian's legacy is woven into the very fabric of the club and the wider village through his numerous acts of benevolence . Driven by a desire to protect the community, he personally purchased the defibrillator located at the ground, a vital life-saving resource available for the benefit of all local residents.
His impact extended onto the pitch as well, where he was a champion for the Marske United Walking Football team. Brian worked behind the scenes to help the squad secure an Indoor facility , ensuring that the players could continue their sport year-round regardless of the weather. The team remains eternally grateful for his advocacy, which provided them with a home.
He also regularly attended the clubs music events and various functions.
Brian will be remembered as a true gentleman and a dedicated benefactor who always put the needs of his club and community first. He will be deeply missed by his fellow supporters, the players and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Brian's family and friends at this difficult time.
