Marske Boss Paul Burton Labels Kenzie Harker ‘a Real Threat’

The Seasiders boss heaped praise on the young forward following two stellar displays.

Marske United boss Paul Burton labelled Kenzie Harker ‘a real threat’ - praising the forward for two impressive performances following his switch from Guisborough Town.

Harker impressed off the bench during the Seasiders’ opening day test against Whickham - adding much-needed impetus in an albeit dull affair.

Burton deemed such a showing worthy of a start on Tuesday night, and his faith was quickly repaid when the forward struck Marske United ahead inside the half hour.

Daniel Maw would go on to equalise for opponents, Easington Colliery.

On the quality Kenzie Harker brings to his side, Burton commented on the effort he had shown over the opening two games.

“I think he's a real threat.” The boss said.

“Obviously, he gets his goal, he deserved that (on Tuesday). I thought he was probably our best player over the course of the ninety minutes.

“He ran himself into the ground and had to come off for the last twenty minutes. He was absolutely shattered, and that's all we can ask.

“We've said to the guys in the dressing room, you’ve just got to put a shift in. Kenzie has done that, along with the vast majority of the other players, as well, to be fair.

“He’s only just been back to the club for a week or two, so we just need to get him settled in, really.

“He played very well Saturday for the second half, and I thought that warranted a start (on Tuesday). I think that was a correct decision.”
