“The performance today was really pleasing.” He said.

“It’s our third league game. We’re a new team, a new set of lads, and every game we’ve improved. We’ve increased our intensity. We’ve kept the ball better.

“We’re looking more like a team and gelling together, so there’s lots of positives to take in terms of the performance.

“We had some good chances, and we linked up well. We’re looking very solid and we’re looking like a unit.

“I’m sure their manager will agree, we were the better team. We deserved the win, and if not, then we certainly deserved a draw.

“I think when you play against these teams, you’ve just got to compete. You match the work rate, you match the effort.

“Today, we didn’t get our just reward.“
