"This season has shown me that you don't need the best players, you need players who are going to fight."

"Truthfully, I thought we were poor. I just can't get my head round what is going on at the present minute.

"I thought we started really slow, they were on the front foot and we let them into the game straight away.

"It was a sloppy goal to give away, their number nine sent three of our lads to the shop and put it in the top corner.

"Me, Clarky and Wardy have tried to motivate them as much as we can but as a human being you need to be able to go out and motivate yourself.

"We know each team and each game in this league is going to be hard but we keep making the same mistakes.

"I get judged on the changes I make in the team. I left three lads out that have been playing in the team the last few weeks and out the 'regulars' back in, it didn't work, they didn't perform.

"I take that because I know that's my job. I just don't think that anyone I bring in is going to earn to keep the shirt.

"In this league, it has been proven that other teams are more ruthless in both boxes. Defensively they are strong as f*** and they are in front of goal too, and that's where we are lacking at the minute.

"I know this team inside out and I think this is the team that can still do well for us, I just think that when it's going bad for us, we don't roll our sleeves up enough.

"This league isn't like last year where you can tippy tappy around, this is about rolling your sleeves up and winning the battle and at the present minute, we are not winning battles.

"This season has shown me that you don't need the best players, you need players who are going to fight."
