Tommy Marron on the season so far and tomorrow's match against West Allotment Celtic.

Baker Lillivick14 Nov - 15:35

Tommy Marron spoke to Baker to reflect on the season so far and the huge game that lies against West Allotment Celtic tomorrow.

Reflecting on the first months of the season and going into tomorrow's match, Tommy says: "The start of the season has not been easy for anyone concerned. As a club, team, and staff, we've had to overcome a number of challenges, and we recognise that at times our performances and results have not reflected the expectations that we set for ourselves or what supporters want to come and watch each weekend. With injuries easing and recent transfers now settling in, we are beginning to see more stability in the squad, and we believe that consistency will soon start to show on the pitch.

A key part of our progression is learning to manage the crucial moments within games. That comes with experience, and it’s an area where we know we’ve fallen short in recent matches. Being realistic about where we are as a club, and acknowledging the starting point we came from is essential as we continue to build and grow.

We understand that recent games have been frustrating and, at times, below par. We also know that supporters will have left the stadium with questions regarding performances and results. As a team and staff, we have to hold our hands up to that. Your support remains vital, and we are committed to working tirelessly to deliver improvements and move forward together.

For me, this weekend and the next few games are about managing key moments in matches. It doesn’t have to be pretty on the eye — what matters is finding a way to get results and turning even below-par performances into points. This was epitomised on Wednesday night.

We know exactly where we are as a club, and there is no hiding from that. But positivity and strong support from the stands can only help the boys push on and climb the table. We’re asking all our fans to come down on Saturday, get behind the team, and help drive us forward in what is an important period ahead.

Up the Seasiders,
Tommy"
