The former club captain and fan favourite returns to the club after departing in 2023 after making over 500 appearances for the club and scoring 43 goals.

Wheats enjoyed a successful spell as club captain playing a huge part in defence of a team that achieved 2 promotions and also won a North Riding Cup.

On his return, Wheats says: "Really looking forward to being back in a Marske shirt after a few years away from the club. I'm fully recovered after a lengthy spell on the sidelines and I am chomping at the bit to be back involved!

There's plenty of talent in this squad and I hope with my experience and leadership it can help steady the ship and put a few points on the board to climb up that table starting at Crook tomorrow afternoon.

It's been a tough period for Marske recently but hopefully we can give the fans something to shout about again!"
