James Sayer caught a volley sweetly, but couldn’t trouble the shot-stopper. Kenzie Harker cut inside, curling his effort wide of Asikaogu’s near post.
Besides an early lapse in concentration, the Seasiders proved quite solid in defence. Mike Algie dropped to ground to deny Alfie Livermore at close range, before Tom Eglinton cleared an effort off the line.
Marske had further chances when play resumed with the wind at their backs. James Sayer nodded over the bar from Joe Thompson’s long throw, whilst Kenzie Harker’s strike deflected wide.
Jey Draper was denied on the goal-line amidst a scramble, whilst George Ready and Joseph Power both blazed over at the other end on fast breakaways.
