Update from The Chairman

Excitement grows as decision time is getting closer. The FA will make a decision at the National League Systems Committee AGM to be held in the next 10 days after which we will be informed as to which league we have been placed in. As soon as we are informed by the FA the club will make an announcement on it’s web site. Any information prior to this is just speculation. Once we have been informed which league we are to be placed in our admission prices and season ticket prices will be agreed and season tickets will go on sale with an attractive early bird offer.

Marske United Football Club Limited are also pleased to welcome two new directors to the club, Stephen Hugill (Skinderella) and Chris Varney (Vehicle Smart) both who have become share holders and bring a great wealth of business knowledge and experience to the club.

On the playing front pre season games at Mount Pleasant have been agreed with Graeme Lee’s Spennymoor Town, Carl Jarrett’s Redcar Athletic and Whitby Town. Guisborough Town away has also been agreed. A full list of dates and kick off times will be posted shortly.

Works to re-roof the Home Changing Rooms are nearing completion, no more leaks! A fantastic job by Mike Pengilly and all the volunteers that have assisted him. Without our fantastic volunteers this would not have been possible. The repair to the floodlights being next on the list followed by the extension of the Mike Findlay stand.
Further projects are planned that include an additional Can Bar, an upgrade to the Kabin area, a match day club shop, female official changing rooms, and large screen TV for the clubhouse to show the major Euro24 matches.

Work has begun on the pitch that has had weedkiller and fertiliser applied and reseeding has been started in order for the pitch to be at its best for the start of the new season.

As excitement grows for the return of football to Mount Pleasant sponsorship deals are being agreed for front of shirt, back of shirt, and Shirt sleeves along with many new advertising boards being taken up and renewals of existing boards.

Shortly our playing kit suppliers MySports Wear will provide three home shirt styles that will be offered to the fans to vote for their favourite that will then become the first team home kit for the season 2024-2025.

Come on down to Mount Pleasant and see what’s happening or even better become another of our growing team of volunteers and be involved. Without our great volunteers the club would not exist.
