Fan Guide: Marske United vs Kendal Town

Fan Guide: Marske United vs Kendal Town

Ashley Stone

Everything you need to know as the Seasiders take on the Mintcakes from Cumbria.

It’s a return to the John Keegan Stadium this afternoon for Marske United, who look to turn their recent fortunes around with a result against Kendal Town.

The Mintcakes have made a habit of competing for promotion since their lateral movement to the Northern League, though have started this season poorly by their high standards.

Three wins in their last six have seen Kendal begin to climb the table - they arrive at the John Keegan Stadium in sixteenth, just four points ahead of Marske.

Supporters joining us at the John Keegan Stadium this afternoon can make use of on-site parking, whilst standard admission will be priced at £8 for adults.

The Club Shop, Can Bar and Kabin will all be open from 2pm, whilst the Clubhouse opens its doors at 12:30pm to show live football from the Premier League.

Here’s all the information you need ahead of our latest outing on home soil.

ADMISSION
Admission to John Keegan Stadium is priced at £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3 for those under the age of 18.

Children under the age of 12 will be admitted for free when accompanied by a responsible, paying adult.

Supporters can pay with either cash or card at the turnstile, which will be open around an hour before kick-off (2pm).

TRAVEL AND PARKING
For first time visitors, groundhoppers, and the hardy travelling contingent, the John Keegan Stadium can be found using the postcode TS11 7BW.

Parking is available on-site on a first-come, first served basis, but there are also plenty of places to park in the town free of charge, and just a short walk from the ground.

Supporters travelling by train can walk the short distance from the station to the stadium. Trains will run from Saltburn, Middlesbrough, Darlington and Bishop Auckland once every half hour.

FOOD AND DRINK
The Clubhouse will be open from 12:30pm to serve both alcoholic and soft refreshments. Live Premier League football will be shown before the match, as Aston Villa take on Manchester City.

The Kabin and Can Bar will each be open for light bites and refreshments from 2pm.

CLUB SHOP
Our Club Shop will be stocked with a number of replica shirts this afternoon, including in a number of junior sizes.

Further orders can be placed, and will take roughly five-six weeks to arrive.

WEATHER FORECAST
Supporters are urged to take extra care and precaution this afternoon, with a yellow weather warning in place due to strong winds and heavy rainfall.

The Met Office alleges Marske will feel like 5° come kick-off. There will be sustained wind speeds of 30mph, and gusts reaching up to 50mph.

There is a 95% chance of rainfall during the course of the match.
